About
Buy it once.
Climbing gear is strange. You buy a thing once, maybe twice, and then it stays with you for the rest of your climbing life. Some of it gets handed down to your kids.
Runout designs for that timescale: lightweight, engineered hardware meant to be owned for thirty years and still worth admiring at year thirty. Lightweighting isn't a trick for the spec sheet. It's what happens when a product is actually designed, and it belongs on every piece of climbing equipment, not just the ones with a safety rating. Too much gear skips the thinking. There are training edges on sale today that are a machined slot in a piece of wood.
So the whole system gets designed: the object, how it packs, how it hangs, how it feels the day you buy it and the decade after. The first product is the UltraPortable 20 mm. 20 grams of aerospace AlSi10Mg. Built to be kept.
